Butterfly Road floral studio, based in Cheshire, UK, was founded by Diane and Michelle to share their love of abundant, whimsical, garden-inspired florals. We love to create florals that are straight out of an English country garden fairytale.

I’m Diane—a true romantic with a heart full of flowers who lives for all things weddings and love. I believe there’s nothing more magical than two souls in love, uniting forever.
A dreamer, always imagining somewhere beautiful and finding joy in the smallest things. My favourite part of the process is getting to know you and planning your perfect florals to create the feeling and emotions you want for your perfect day. I love helping people choose their flowers and colours and working out the best way to source them to make everything magical.
I’ve been happily married to Bill for over 20 years, and will never forget the emotions of our own wedding day. He is still my best friend and my soulmate. Our perfect weekend would be a cosy cottage by the sea, good food and long walks with our little dog, Kayleigh. She’s a Manchester Terrier who takes her napping very seriously and is often curled up beside me as I plan your flowers.

I’m Michelle—a floral designer who swapped teaching for trailing jasmine and whimsical bouquets. I’ve got two grown-up kids, Holly and Freddie, and I first picked up a pair of floristry scissors, dreaming of one day creating their wedding flowers (still waiting after many years!).
Yes I am the logistics one—quietly obsessed with making things work, figuring out the “how” behind the “wow.” I love a good spreadsheet, and I’m a little bit in love with fresh stationery (yes, I do own more notebooks than anyone really needs). Most used phrase during a setup? “Diane, this design makes my heart sing.”
You’ll often find me walking Rory, our Cavapoo and the husband, Tim, along the coast—the sea is my calm place. I’m definitely a Sunday roast dinner kind of person, with family around the table and lots of laughter in the air. Crisps over chocolate, every time.
What I love most about flowers? Their individuality. The way each stem brings something different—a ruffle, a scent, a movement. I love the moment a cosmos lifts just slightly above her bouquet friends, swaying as the bride walks down the aisle. That’s the kind of detail that makes my heart sing..
